Tickets for the Scone Racing Carnival are not yet on sale. Explore what’s on offer at our pinnacle event below and discover the vibrant atmosphere of country NSW’s premier racing carnival.

Staying in Scone, NSW
We strongly recommend securing your accommodation early. The Scone Racing Carnival is one of the busiest weekends of the year in the Upper Hunter, and local rooms book out quickly across Scone, Muswellbrook and the surrounding towns.
From boutique motels and country pubs to farm stays and Airbnb’s, there is a range of accommodation options available - however, demand is extremely high across the entire region. Many visitors book 6 to 12 months in advance, and last-minute availability is limited.
If you’re travelling to Scone, we suggest locking in your stay as soon as possible. Nearby centres such as Aberdeen and Merriwa may also be suitable alternatives if Scone reaches full capacity.
Local Dining & Experiences
Darley Scone Cup Day is Australia’s only Group One racing event held outside a metropolitan area, making it a standout highlight of the national racing calendar.

The Thoroughbred Hotel

Scone RSL
A popular local hub offering bistro dining, drinks and entertainment, just minutes from the town centre and perfect for a casual meal or post-race catch-up.
Green Seed Grocer
A much loved local gathering spot, serving great coffee, gourmet toasties & other goodies. They have a selected range of sustainable products, homewares & pantry items that keep you shopping local.
